    Since 1976, Colgate India has been conducting a school initiative program wherein the Company partnered with Indian Dental Association (IDA), to spread oral health awareness among school going children in primary schools in urban and rural India. Till date, 107 million school children in over 2 million schools in urban and rural areas have benefited from Colgate's Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Program. Along with IDA, the Company conducts, a Teachers' Training Program toenable teachers to instil good Oral Care habits among school-going children on an on-going basis.

    Colgate-Palmolive India has introduced an employee volunteering program called 'Adopt A School'. Employees of the Company are offered an opportunity to volunteer their time to spread the message on importance of good oral hygiene in a simple, conversational, interactive manner to primary school children in municipal and government aided schools. The involvement and contribution by employees helps demonstrate Colgate's core value of caring, for the communities it does business in.

    The objective of this programme is to empower children to practice good oral hygiene, by making them aware of good oral care practices and promoting preventive health care habits. Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures is among the most far-reaching, successful children's oral health initiatives in the world. With long-standing partnerships with governments, schools and communities, Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® has reached more than half a billion children and their families across 80 countries with free dental screenings and oral health education.

    Colgate has provided support to various NGOs and Trust to achieve health objectives:

    >Colgate India has supported several unique fundraising events in aid of Concern India Foundation.

    >Support to Differently Abled Children through Ehsas.

    > Support to DEEDS Trust since 2005, with gift hampers for the Deaf to encourage the team participation.

    >Support to Maria Sharan Project for Girls at risk to provide a residential home for abandoned girls who were rescued from streets, stations and slums and also supported the programme by distributing toothpastes and toothbrushes thus encouraging good oral hygiene habits amongst these children.

    >Support to Patients Aid and Research Trust where the Colgate-Palmolive India was happy to support in a small way by gifting their products to widen the smile on these faces.

    > Colgate-Palmolive, India with the efforts of the Red Cross Society organized a Blood Donation Camp.  Close to 130 employees rolled up their sleeves to generously donate blood on the day.

    Seva Mandir is a non-profit organisation working in and around Udaipur in Rajasthan in teh sector of Education, Health, Empowerment of Women and Youth, Village Institutions and Natural Resource Development. 

    The partnership commenced in 2013. A grant, given each year by Colgate, is used to fund various activities thereby providing a wider outreach and impact across all verticals.

    Colgate has been associated with Pratham in their endeavor of working to provide quality education to the underprivileged children of India. Pratham words to strengthen the government's effectiveness and efficiency in its role as the provider of primary school education in India. Since primary education is the responsibility of the government, the organisation tries to supplement government initiatives rather than supplant them.
